Pooja Series watercolor paintings Pooaj#6 is one of the 6 little watercolor paintings on 10 x 15 cm papers. This series was inspired by the pictures that were taken when I had the attract abundance ceremonies.
About #Pooja series paintings:
These are images of the objects that were used as a part of the prayer ceremonies. Each of these things stand as a symbol of positivity. Whether it is the fruits or the brass plates or lamps, they remind me of the positive experience I had when I did these ceremonies to attract abundance. I want to share this positivity and abundance with you through my artwork. 😊
About the inspiration and attracting abundance:
Shree Vaibhava Lakshmi pooja is one of the oldest methods that are traditionally followed in India to attract abundance. I had learnt about the same and was inspired to perform the same at my home.
Last year, when I started the research, it led me into so many new experiences that I actually created:
• The entire Ashtalakshmi series of paintings with girl children posing as the Goddesses coming from 8 different countries
• Created 8 art tutorials on how to do such paintings totalling about 88 hours of recording while painting
• Me and my friend created the transliteration and English translation for the instruction book on how to attract abundance
• We conducted the pooja ceremonies for 9 continuous Fridays and invited people from many different cultures
• Now we are testing the prints for Ashtalakshmi across the globe!
I can clearly see how my life has changed and I am happy for this clarity and focus that is helping me create such unique products and experiences. I am still exploring new areas and working on creating a story & coloring book for children based on the knowledge gained through this exercise 😊
